It’s nearly the end of another calendar year; the transition from spring to summer is here in the southern hemisphere as evidenced by the flowers. I’m missing winter already, but this year I’m determined to make the most of the Australian summer and embrace this season while it’s here.

So how did the messages from the flowers play out over spring 2022? And what’s in store for summer 2022-23 over the New Year?

Keep in mind with these readings that because I’m situated in the southern hemisphere, I’ll be talking about the messages for December to February inclusive in terms of summer 2022-23. If you’re situated in the northern hemisphere, you’ll want to change summer to winter, or whatever is relevant to you. But don’t worry! The reading can apply no matter where you are in the world.

If you missed them, you can read the relevant blog posts for other 2022 readings here:

Just to recap, in the last reading for spring I used Robert Reeves’ ‘Flower Therapy Oracle Cards’ and the accompanying guidebook and ‘Flower Therapy’ book, and Lucy Cavendish’s ‘Wild Wisdom of the Faery Oracle’ with artwork by Selina Fenech. These are the decks I’ll be working with again for this reading. As always, no copyright infringement is intended. See my disclaimer page for more information or email me at [email protected].

Let’s get to it!

Spring 2022 Oracle Recap!

With the launch of my blog, and having more spam-blocker notifications than interested visitors to my blog (at least I know that my security plugins are working well to protect my website and visitors!), I didn’t much feel like a spiritual teacher in September.

Nevertheless, I still wrote weekly blog posts and published content I felt people could benefit from and resonate with that was in my heart and I wanted to share. During September as well, the way I lived my life as an example of what’s possible (simple living in an increasingly hectic and chaotic hustle culture society) to me was a way I could teach by example and be a role model for those wanting to live life in a similar way – I spoke my truth and lived my wisdom.

October saw the bloomings of the sweet pea flowers, from deep red to deep purple, and lighter shades in between. It also signified the month of dreams coming true, which for me played out in various ways in my personal life.

November was certainly a time of new beginnings, with the banksia making another appearance. For me, this month was a time of ideas for writing projects, revamping and revisiting old projects that I couldn’t quite figure out where to take them, and finally committing to my writing wholeheartedly, saying goodbye to craft markets and anything else that may have been relevant to one season and phase of my life, but not this one that I’m growing into with enthusiasm.

Overall, the faeries indicated to us to be on the lookout for gifts, stay open and receptive to offerings and opportunities from the universe, and to follow your inner nudgings and wisdom with faith in your spiritual support system. How was this season for you?

Summer 2022-23 Oracle Card Messages

As for the last post, for the summer reading I’ll be drawing three cards, one for each month of summer, from Robert Reeves’ ‘Flower Therapy Oracle Cards,’ and bringing them all together with Lucy Cavendish’s ‘Wild Wisdom of the Faery Oracle’ deck (still my favourite fairy deck).

Three flower therapy oracle cards, first card shows a sweet pea and text that says, "Your wishes are coming true" up the top, then down the bottom says, "what your heart has been longing for is getting closer each day." Middle card depicts a pink camellia flower and says, "You are lovable," and down the bottom says, "Love who you are, as you're created perfectly. Everything about your true self is beautiful." Card on the right depicts a yellow daffodil and says, "Share the message of love," and down the bottom says, "Rivers of love flow within you, and others may benefit from this healing energy. Be mindful of each word that passes your lips."

December: Sweet Pea – “Your Wishes Are Coming True”

Similar to October 2022, we again have the message from the gentle sweet pea.

The sweet pea tells us that, “what your heart has been longing for is getting closer each day.” Because the sweet pea has made another appearance, it means that we once again have to get honest with ourselves firstly about what it is that we truly desire in life. Writing our feelings down on a page may be helpful.

From this place, we can then set about keeping our vibrations high, our intentions clear, and behave in a way that is conducive to these dreams coming true. By making choices in December that align with our deepest wishes and heart’s desires and longings, we can end the calendar year on a positive note.

In my garden now that the deep purple sweet pea flowers are in bloom, I’m feeling more strongly that my wishes are actually coming true, and I can see evidence of this in my life happening slowly. The sweet pea seeds that I planted have now manifested with the opening of these deep purple flowers.

This quote has been attributed to so many people I couldn’t find the correct reference, but I’ll say it anyway, “where your attention goes, your energy flows and results show” (I think it may have been T. Harv Eker but correct me if I’m wrong). Keep the energy flowing to that which you want, visualise it, feel the feelings in your body that that wish fulfilled would elicit in you. Feeling the feelings you want to feel when the desire manifests is important to the process.

Trust that your spiritual support system is helping you and guiding you towards that which you truly desire.

Also be prepared for miracles this December as it regards your heart’s true desires.

January: Camellia – “You Are Lovable”

What a beautiful way to start the calendar year! This is a message you can take with you throughout the whole year and remind yourself often; YOU ARE LOVABLE. The camellia also says, “Love who you are, as you’re created perfectly. Everything about your true self is beautiful.”

Everything about your true self is beautiful. Not your persona or mask, not having your perceived ‘most desirable and lovable traits’ on display while shoving down the parts of yourself that you deem not fit to see the light of day.

You are lovable just as you are.

If you are hiding your true self from the world because you feel that you’re unlovable, I’d find ways to challenge that belief, and give others a chance to get to know you, and see what happens. Like an experiment of sorts.

I know I tend to unconsciously mask around others (part of my autistic experience), and there’s only a few individuals I feel safe enough to let that go and be me. This isn’t because I don’t feel lovable and I’m in hiding, it’s just how I am in the world.

I’m my most authentic when I’m alone, or in the company of animals, often finding a soothing acceptance in nature and with animals, and in my own company.

January is the month to “find yourself”, and if you’re single and interested in a relationship, you being your authentic self is more likely to attract a partner.

Whether you show people the authentic you or not, it doesn’t really matter. At least be true to yourself and be honest, authentic, and true to yourself. Know that you are lovable just as you are.

February: Daffodil – “Share The Message Of Love”

The love theme keeps on rolling with the daffodil making an appearance, encouraging us to “share the message of love” and know that “rivers of love flow within you, and others may benefit from this healing energy. Be mindful of each word that passes your lips.”

With Valentine’s Day on the 14th and being the second month of the year (a two vibration is one of relationships and harmony), this is the perfect time and month to really be open about sharing your love, being love, receiving love, and embodying love.

The daffodil is said to help with communication in all its forms. Communicate from the heart this month; tell someone you love them if that feels right to you.

When you hear the phrase, “share the message of love,” what first springs to mind? Take action.

Bringing it all together

This seems to be the summer of love.

There are many ways you could interpret this reading, and before I get into my own interpretation, I’d invite you to see what resonates with you from the above cards as it relates to your own individual life, and what impressions you get.

How do the flowers speak to you this summer? What additional personal and unique messages do you receive from the sweet peas, the camellia, and the daffodils?

Let me know!

The way these flowers speak to me is that they follow a nice trajectory. By keeping my energy uplifted, visualising my heart’s desires manifested while also enjoying the beautiful gift of the present I’ve been given, the calendar year ends on a positive note with the promise that our soul longings are being fulfilled; maybe not this month, but if we pay attention to the signs and keep our vibes flowing in the right direction, then soon.

From this positive place, we begin the calendar year in January with a reminder that will be relevant for the whole year (and years to come), that we are all lovable just as we are. With this belief in our inherent lovability, we’re able to then share that in February, the Valentine’s month with the daffodil’s encouragement.

A Final Word from the Faeries –“Secret Doorway”

Faery oracle card with lady peering into a door set into a tree trunk, text says, "Secret doorway. Working with intuition, second sight opening, dimensional doorways."

With this New Year of love, the faeries are telling us that we’re going through a process of change and transformation, of coming back to ourselves and rediscovering aspects of ourselves that we may have neglected or shut down, but now need to reawaken.

This enhances the camellia’s message to remember that through this process you are lovable, and the daffodil’s message to share and communicate that love. This expression of love can not only be communicated verbally, but non-verbally through choices, behaviours, and not just with other people, but with animals, your spiritual support team, and the Earth.

Approach this season (and this season of your life generally) as a beginner, willing to learn and to be humble as you go through life.

You may also receive messages from nature at this time, so be open, and if you do receive messages, remember to share them with love if you feel called to do so and in the way that comes naturally to you; through speaking, writing, painting, singing, acts of service, and anything that comes to mind for you personally.

Final thoughts

I wish everyone a very happy summer, with the festive season, New Year, and Valentine’s Day. Take time to listen to and smell the flowers!
